About your company and the people who use Karuvi — for example names, emails and mobile numbers. We decide how this is used, as described below.
Your business data — the estimates, customers, suppliers, materials, prices and notes you put into Karuvi. This belongs to your company. It is with us to run Karuvi for you, and for nothing else. Access inside Aathi is limited to what is needed to keep Karuvi running and to help you when you ask. We never sell it, never show it to another company, and never use it to decide what you see inside Karuvi. The only time it may be shown to anyone else is when the law requires it (see section 5).
3. What we collect?
Company details: company name, trade licence number, address and map link, phone, website, TRN.
Contact people: names, designations, mobile numbers and emails of your main, back-up and accounts contacts.
Logins: each user's name and email or login name, and a password stored in scrambled form that nobody at Aathi can read. For Company Admins, the mobile number that receives sign-in codes on WhatsApp.
Approved computers: the type of browser and system (for example "Chrome on Windows"), and the dates a computer was approved and last used.
Messages you send us: feedback and support requests.
Billing: your plan, amounts, dates and receipts. Card payments are handled by Stripe; we never see or keep your full card number.
Basic use: how much storage your company uses and when it was last active.
4. Why we use it?
To provide Karuvi and keep it secure — including sign-in codes for Admins and the Admin's approval when a Sales login uses a new computer.
To help you when you ask, and to send service messages such as announcements, changes and payment reminders.
To bill you, and to meet our legal and accounting duties.
To improve Karuvi from the feedback you send. We do not use your business data for this.
5. Who else sees it?
Only the companies we need to run Karuvi, and only what each needs:
Hostinger — our server provider. Karuvi's servers are in India.
Meta (WhatsApp) — a Company Admin's mobile number and the sign-in code sent to it.
Stripe — card payments.
Banks — for payments made by bank transfer.
Authorities — only when the law requires it.
We never sell your information, and we do not use tracking or advertising cookies. Nothing shown inside Karuvi is chosen from your estimates, customers or prices — see the next section.
6. Karuvi Market and Karuvi Partners...
Karuvi has a Market section showing offers, products, subscriptions and articles about the printing trade, and a Partners section listing suppliers Aathi works with. Both are written by Aathi and are the same for every company. They are never chosen from your data, and we do not track what you look at.
If your company does not want them, tell us and we will switch them off for you at any time.
The one exception is Partners while your company uses raw material prices supplied by Aathi, because those prices come from those suppliers. If you enter your own prices, Partners can be switched off as well.
7. Cookies...
Karuvi uses two cookies, both needed for it to work: a sign-in cookie that lasts 12 hours, and an "approved computer" cookie that lasts up to 5 years so a computer is not asked to be approved again. Clearing your browser data removes them. Your own preferences, such as colours, may also be kept in your browser.
8. Where it is kept?
On Karuvi's servers in India. Information travels between your computer and Karuvi encrypted (HTTPS). By using Karuvi you agree to your information being kept there; we protect it the same way wherever it is kept.
9. How long we keep it?
For as long as your company uses Karuvi.
Before cancelling, your Company Admin can download a backup file of your company's data. Aathi gives you the free Karuvi Viewer to open that file on your own computer at any time afterwards — it works without internet and sends nothing anywhere. It shows your customers, suppliers, raw materials and estimates, with every cost line of each estimate as it was saved. It does not include Karuvi's product formulas, so it is for looking back, not for making new estimates.
After cancellation, your company's data stays on our servers for 10 days — so the account can be restored if you change your mind — and is then permanently deleted. Copies in server backups are removed as those backups are replaced.
Billing records are kept for as long as UAE law requires for accounting.
10. How we protect it?
Encrypted connections, scrambled passwords, WhatsApp sign-in codes for Admins on new computers, Admin approval for Sales logins on new computers, two-step sign-in for Karuvi's own Master account, and access limited to Aathi staff who need it.
No system is perfectly safe. If a security incident affects your company's information, we will tell you without delay and explain what we are doing about it.
11. Your choices and rights...
You can ask us to show you, correct, give you a copy of, or delete the information we hold about you or your company, or to stop sending you non-essential messages. Write to info@karuvi.ae; we reply within 30 days.
Deleting your company's account ends your use of Karuvi. If you are not satisfied with our answer, you may contact the UAE Data Office.
12. Business use only...
Karuvi is for companies and their staff. It is not meant for anyone under 18.
13. Changes to this policy...
If we change this policy in a way that matters, we will tell your Company Admin by email or by an announcement inside Karuvi at least 14 days before the change takes effect. The date at the top shows the current version.
